Amy Schumer is defending herself against recent allegations of joke theft.

The comedian addressed the allegations on Wednesday in an interview with Jim Norton’s Sirius XM radio show.

The allegations come from a recent video which compares her material to other comedians works.

“I’m getting accused of stealing jokes and I wanted to come and talk to you about it and clear my name because I would never ever do that and never have,” she clarified with the host.

Schumer goes on to explain that she needs to “be so careful” during her creative process.

“I have to come up with so much material for my TV show, this movie, stand-up,” Schumer explained. “I will literally take a polygraph.”

The 34-year-old also mentions in the interview that she does not take the accusations personally and that people “might be upset by success,” even she might not have the amazing life others might believe.

“I don’t think I’m any happier than I was when I was waiting tables.”
